I never realized that Japan even had capital punishment. But why did it take eight years to convict this guy?

Let the censoring begin. Of course Stern thrives on this kind of thing. In his case there really is no such thing as bad press. Stern is so bulletproof, that probably nothing short of reciting the seven deadly words over and over on the air will get him fired at this point.

I've been battling a cold for the past couple of days and so I feel completely out of the loop. Maybe I'll read the voter pamphlet for next week's primary election.

The Chronicle reports that this photo is being cited by right-wing talk-show hosts as proof that John Kerry is an anti-American commie pinko. The photo is a fake but so far none of the reactionary blowhards have seen fit to reveal this fact to their audience.

Dubya's credibility is taking a major hit these days. Expect CIA Director George Tenet to resign if this keeps up.

I expect that the religiously zealous reactionaries will blow a gasket over the latest cloning news out of South Korea. Why do they want to quash research that could one day cure Alzheimer's, Parkinson's or a number of other degenerative diseases? Because people are "trying to play God", that's why. Ridiculous.

Might as well ban the beef, pork, poultry, and lamb industries as well. Before you know it, PETA (they're vegans BTW) will have us out hunting live game in order to get some meat. Of course then we'd be considered poachers since they'll also ban hunting. Expect Ted Nugent to be the first to face the firing squad for shooting and eating bambi.

I was first introduced to Friendster by one of my friends. At first it was rather quaint to see how many people you could be connected to through only a few people. But the server is notoriously slow and so I got tired of waiting and waiting to see anything on the site. But it looks like things will be looking up for this pioneering networking site.
