The Supreme court chose to dodge the issue rather than make a decision one way or the other. So now more money, time and resources will be devoted to this issue when someone else challenges the pledge.

California's "3-strikes" law has led to 25-years-to-life sentences for stealing bagels. Finally voters seem willing to acknowledge that they may have gone overboard with this legislation.

The campaign to canonize Reagan has begun. Everyone is falling over themselves in touting his great achievements. Some are even calling him "the greatest president of the 20th century". I strongly disagree with that

Looks like the wheels are starting to fall off. The last item is really disturbing. How can you bring terrorists to justice if you can't even prosecute them? Why can the government hold U.S. citizens indefinitely without representation, but can't prosecute an admitted terrorist?
