ChevronTexaco just announced second quarter profits are up more than double from last year. That explains why gas is two bucks a gallon.

If they give you a ticket for cursing, and arrest you for eating, what do they do if they catch you spitting on the platform? Shoot you?

Too bad they're only charging this guy with misdemeanor animal cruelty. What could have possessed him to do this? If he couldn't take care of the bunny any more, why didn't he just try to find it a new home? After all, he did rescue it shortly after Easter.

I'm totally tuning out during this week. I don't see the need for this convention of the one that the Republicans are going to hold later. I'll watch "Shark Week" instead.

Ok, it took a little time, but I now realize that my previous deduction about the fate of the Jennings streak was flawed. It is possible that one of the contestants this week can defeat him without altering the number of contestants scheduled to appear this week. Guess I'll just have to keep watching.

Will Ken Jennings lose on Jeopardy this week? According to a little detective work and some deductive reasoning, apparently not. The Jeopardy website lists only 11 contestants this week including Jennings. That means two new contestants each day through Friday. So if Jennings loses this week, it won't be until Friday.

Now Shrub's not even trying to court African American voters. I hope that African Americans will take this "dis" personally and turn out to vote Dubya out. Maybe even African Americans in Florida will make a difference this time.

Slimfast dropped Whoopi as a spokespearson because she used Dubya's "surname as a sexual reference". It's OK Whoopi, that stuff doesn't work anyway.
