The Answer: Jeopardy Millionaire
by Michael
The Question: Who is a Ken Jennings? I watch Jeopardy on a fairly regular basis, but Jennings' 30-show run has made me an everyday viewer for the past few weeks. The Jeopardy producers changed the rules to allow champions to continue playing until they lose, and Jennings has definitely made the most of it.
I usually do pretty well with questioning all the answers (in fine Jeopardy tradition) at home, but I don't think I'd like being one of the contestants against this guy. He generally has more than triple his opponents going into the final round, which means he'll have a big pay day (usually $20k+, and over $50k twice). So whoever takes him down will be true giant killer. Good luck folks. Maybe I'll try to get on once the "Marvelous Mormon" is finally done.
One final note. These shows were taped in February and (probably) March. So the producers already know how long Jennings' run lasts. What I can't figure out is why no one from the studio audience has spilled the beans on when Jennings loses? I suppose it's possible that he hasn't lost yet. But I doubt it.
