Foie gras has been banned in California. The PETA folks are overjoyed. Before you know it, we'll be ruduced to eating rabbit food or face the death penalty. Look out Ted, you're in their sights.

CNET is using this incedent as the jump off point addressing rude cell phone users. But the real story has to do with the abusive D.C. Metro Transit Police. I agree that some etiquette should be exercised when one is using a cell phone in a public setting but that doesn't excuse the behavior of the MTP.

The kidnappings continue in Iraq. Rummy says that some Iraqis may not get to vote. But at least we're all safe from Cat Stevens.

CNET has been re-designed. It looks like a return of the tabs and the bright yellow was in order. I liked the last design, the jury's still out for the new one.

Yet another reason to vote absentee.

I may be lax in posting for a while. I'm busy looking for new work. I'm searching for freelance and permanent full-time positions in case you're interested. OK, I don't know how legitimate this is, but according to this story Ken Jennings has finally lost. But only after 75 appearances and 2 plus million dollars.
