Artistic License

OK, it's one thing to admit an error, it's another to try and pass it off as art. If this artist had said that the misspellings were an indictment of illiteracy in our society or perhaps were representative of her particular artistic style (something called naive art because of its whimsy and child-like nature) then fine. But she didn't say this.


Instead she blames officials who were present during the intallation for not catching the errors. Then she says that true artisans wouldn't care any way. Her last words in the article are just a bunch of bullshit. Just admit you were wrong and fix it.
