SFGate.com has spilled the beans. Ken Jennings loses tonight after 75 appearances and over $2.5 million. So that now-defunct Yahoo story I referrenced before was indeed correct.

Just how far will this guy have to go before someone holds him accountable for his behavior? He is an elected official getting paid taxpayer dollars. If he can't reign in his passion, then he should be voted out. It's unlikely that Daly would go over the deep end and start shooting people in city hall but it does seem only a matter of time before he does go too far and actually assaults someone.

Dan Rather is giving up his anchor job at CBS. You file one bad story and suddenly everyone is out to get you. Sure they're all saying it was mutual but c'mon, this is the same network that took heat of the "wardrobe malfunction" earlier this year. The last thing they want is more scrutiny from the Bush administration. As soon as that story proved bogus, Rather's days were numbered. So who's taking his seat?

The NBA is finally coming down hard on Ron Artest after his rampage last Friday. Artest has a history of delivering cheap shots that have caused serious injuries to other players, yet the NBA tolerated his behavior. Sure he was suspended for acquiring too many flagrant fouls during the course of a season, but that only amounted to a slap on the wrist. If the NBA had done more to Artest a couple of years ago, maybe Friday's melee would never have happened.

There's only one problem with this effort. Ahnold hasn't officially renounced his Austian citizenship. Shouldn't potential presidents at least have full loyalty to the US? I think so.

Senate Dems are moving further to the right. I don't know how they think they can beat the GOP if they keep trying to play the GOP game. The Dems can't be more Republican than Republicans.

I always thought Peterson was guilty but I didn't think there was enough evidence to prove it. Don't be surprised when this is appealed and thrown out, especially considering how the jury was practically stacked against him during deliberations.

Ashcroft has resigned. Whoever replaces him couldn't possibly be as bad as he was. Maybe his successor will even uncover those statues for all to see once more.

Looks like change is in the air for the DNC. The question is whether Howard Dean would actually be able to make a difference in the same institution that sabotaged his campaign.

Not that it'll mean anything since Kerry already conceded, but I think it's a little suspicious that a "glitch" would give Bush extra votes. I hope there's a way to determine if more "glitches" resulted in more votes for Bush. If so, then the electronic voting machine vendors need to come clean on why one candidate is benefitting from this "glitch".
