Congress ok'd the slaugher of wild horses for food. The move comes at the behest of ranchers concerned that the horses consume too much of the foliage that also feeds cattle. Maybe if they hadn't killed off all the predators, they would be having this problem.

The NHL has made it official. There will be no major league hockey this season. Well, duh! The playoffs were only a month or so away, how did they expect to get a meaningful season in at this point anyway? Now they might as well cancel the sport too, because there doesn't seem to be much interest anyway.

I watched the Grammys last night. For the most part, I agreed with Bono's statement that it was one of the best Grammy Award shows ever. The performances were OK, except for the opening sequence of truncated songs and the Lynard Skynard medley.

Looks like Major Leaguers will have to keep looking for their boosts elsewhere. Meanwhile, Barry's gone under the knife again. Could his body be breaking down from all the chemicals he allegedly used?
