No More Treats
by Michael
Last night, tragedy struck as we ran out of candy shortly before 8. We were as devastated as the dissapointed ghosts and ghouls who bore witness to the emergence of the bottom of the candy bowl.
We had lots of trick-or-treaters in our previous neighborhood, but we didn't know what kind of traffic to expect this Halloween in our new neighborhood. We asked our next-door neighbor about Halloween and she told us that there weren't that many trick-or-treaters, so we ony got three bags of candy. At first, it seemed that she was right, but around 7:30, things really picked up. Suddenly at 7:50, a dozen kids showed up and we only had SIX pieces of candy left!!! Oh, the humanity!!!
Sorry kids, and thanks for sparing us the tricks. Next year, we'll have more.
