Jeeves was given the ax yesterday. He was the last of the dotcom boom mascots. Ask.com (formerly askjeeves.com) has decided to forgo whimsy in favor of a more serious search tool that is set to take on the big boys of search (Google, Yahoo, MSN).

The ratings for the winter games are down. Not a big surprise considering that NBC continues to string viewers along until nearly midnight, peppering them with "Olympic Moments" and athlete profiles before they are finally shown the big result (i.e. an American gold medalist). So if no Americans win, people don't tune in.

Michelle Kwan's gold medal dreams are appearantly over. She'll be nearly thirty when the next winter games comes along, so it's highly unlikely that she'll compete in the Olympics ever again. It's too bad her last bid had to end this way but she probably didn't belong there to begin with.

Two SF Supervisors want to limit the number of parking space available in new downtown residential buildings to 3 for every 4 units. The idea is that this measure will help reduce traffic congestion in the downtown area by "encouraging" people to rely on public transit instead of cars. WRONG!!!
