The anti-pot forces seem to have lost one more tool in their fight to eradicate marijuana use. Of course this doesn't rule other potential health problems that pot use could lead to, but the threat of cancer may be no more.

Kenneth Lay and Jeffrey Skilling have been convicted. But don't feel too badly for them. Michael Milken and Martha Stewart aren't exactly hurting after their visits to Club Fed. If anything, Martha is doing better than before.

Caught Cheating

I have a Hybrid that qualifies for the "Clean Air" sticker. This means I can use the diamond lane without passengers. Several times a week I encounter people driving in the diamond lane without passengers and they're not driving Hybrids. In fact they're usually driving SUV's or minivans. Such was the case yesterday.

How do you get away with illegal wiretapping? Simply deny security clearances to the investigators trying to bust you and you're home free. It's kind of hard to examine evidence whe you are denied access to the evidence.

If you "inadvertently" copy the words of another author, you might be excused. But if you "borrow" from another author? Well, now you're a plagiarist. She needs to give back the money from her first book, and she needs to reconsider her career path. I bet her term papers get extra scrutiny from now on.

Immigrant Boycott

There is a movie called "A Day Without a Mexican" that explores what would happen if every Mexican in California suddenly and mysteriously disappeared. The impacts of today's boycott may not live up to those in the movie, but they are significant nevertheless.
