Bill Money

Monday, August 28th, 2006

The proposed legislation to open up the supscription TV market to the Telco's looks like a good deal for consumers on the surface. I can't find any reason why it would be bad, and the fact that the cable companies are deadset against it is telling. What I find interesting however, is the timing of this bill.

I Say “Shove It!!!”

Monday, August 21st, 2006

I totally disagree with the advice cited in this article. It's true that you can't change your boss' negative behavior, and that you shouldn't reciprocate his/her bad behavior with you own. But I don't think you should hesitate to find a new job if you can. Companies need to learn that the cost of bad managers is the loss of good talent.

Rising in Court

Friday, August 18th, 2006

This judge has some serious issues. The dude was using a penis pump in the courtroom during trials. The audio recorder picked up the sound of the pump. Photos were taken. Semen was found. Yet he still denied his guilt. I wonder what he would have said if he had been caught <bad pun>red-handed</bad pun>?

Possible Justice for Jon

Spoil Sport

Wednesday, August 9th, 2006

Some people just don't get it. Joe Lieberman lost the Democratic primary and now intends to run as an independent. What part of losing the primary doesn't he get? There's a reason he lost the primary and it has nothing to do with how much money his opponent spent. It has to do with the fact that he's a closet Republican and the voters wanted a real Democrat for a candidate.

Short Summer Break

Thursday, August 3rd, 2006

I guess all hell has to break lose before the Simpering Simian will actually cut short his vacations. Things like category five hurricanes demolishing the Gulf Coast states. Or escalating violence in the Middle East. Or the potential losses for the GOP in the November elections. Or maybe Mel Gibson making a total ass of himself. Whatever it takes to avoid becoming a miserable failure.

Busiest July Ever

Wednesday, August 2nd, 2006

So July started out normally enough. There were fireworks on the Fourth. My birthday soon after. And then, BAM! I'm a dad!!! And before I could even absorb the impact of a newborn baby, I get a new job. Whew!!! I hope August is a little more sedate.
