Don't get too excited about the Simpering Simian declassifying an intellegence report that's been quoted recently. The juicy parts will remain obscure. The parts that will be made public will conveniently support the Iraq war and underplay any role war has had in increasing Islamic radicalism.

At least that's what these guys are saying. Their statements combined with the NIE's report about how the war in Iraq has created a new generation of Islamic radicalism does not inspire confidence in the current administrations ability to win the war on terrorism or even end the conflict in Iraq. So much for mission accomplished.

Bill Clinton took an opportunity to get back at the so-called "Fair and Balanced" network. Clinton turned the tables on Chris Wallace and put him in the hot seat. Wallace tried to spin things according to SOP at Fox but that doesn't change the fact that Clinton made good points about how little the current administration did to get bin Laden early on compared to Clinton's efforts during his last term in office.

Pope Foot-in-the-Mouth XVI has appologized for being an idiot, but that's not good enough for the fundalmentalists. The irony here is that the statement from the Mujahedeen Shura Council reinforces the quote that got the Pope in trouble in the first place.

Finally a law that requires hands-free devices for drivers using cell phones. I can't recall how many times I almost got hit on the freeway by some moron who has the phone on their left ear, and is too distracted to look left before veering into my lane. And if you honk your horn at them, they act like you're the asshole for not making way for them.

The ice packs are melting all year round now. Global warming is probably to blame but you-know-who won't have any of it. Maybe Floridians aren't the only ones who should start building arks.

The Angelides campaign was behind the audio tape leak that embarassed Ahrnold last week. Now instead of focusing on the issues, the press is focusing on the dirty politics being played by Phil and his team. Good job guys. You might as well pull out of the race and save us all the hassle of voting in November.

Here's another report on the potential impact of global warming. Don't expect the Simpering Simian to do anything about it though. He doesn't believe in science that doesn't confirm his beliefs. Floridians better start building their arks now.
