Netflix on 60 Minutes

We recently began using Netflix for movie rentals so I was very interested in the "60 Minutes" segment last night featuring the company's founder and CEO, Reed Hastings. The entire segment was well-done, but one thing that really caught my attention was the segment about the lack of call-in support.

That portion of the interview ended up being a little embarrassing for Hastings as he tried to find a phone number on the website for customers to call for assistance. Since this interview was taped, I half expected to find a toll-free number prominently positioned on the site, but there still isn't one that I could find. I guess you have to call the corporate number if you really want to talk to someone about technical difficulties. So why the lack of customer service?
