That's exactly what's happening in Connecticut if you believe the defense. I don't have all the facts and the prosecution is right in pointing out that the teacher could have just turned the computer off and avoided the whole problem. But I've also seen what happens when malicious software gets installed on a vulnerable machine. Once the pop-ups start, you can't stop them.

We saw "An Inconvenient Truth" this past week and I found that it was very well done. Whether you believe in global warming or not, the movie presents compelling evidence that is hard to refute. One thing that really struck me however, was related to the U.S auto industry.

This is just plain asinine. The government can barely take care of the business of running the state. What makes them think they can raise our children better than us? Tell you what Ms. Lieber, you guarantee my that my child will have a good home, clothes, food, medical care, and a good education through college, and then I'll let you tell me how to raise her.

It's unreal how irresponsible and stupid these guys were. They can't deny that they were unaware of the consequences of drinking too much water. One of them talked about the dangers before the contest began. Now someone has died, and they may be facing criminal charges. They're certainly facing a bunch of lawsuits, and no waivers are going to protect them in this case.

Isn't it funny how disasters turn insurance companies into just another bottom-line corporation? They happily take your money and promise to be there when disaster strikes. But just have one natural disaster, and suddenly you're NOT in good hands, they're NOT like good neighbor and you CAN'T count on them when going's rough.

One clever blogger decided to share with advertisers some of the offensive material that is spewed daily on "Hot Talk" KSFO. When some of those advertisers pulled their ads, Disney (KSFO's parent company) sicked its lawyers on the blogger to shut him up.

A developer wants to buy out this trailer park in South Florida that would give the residents a huge profit for their investments. But some aren't ready to give up the trailer-park life. I say take the money and run. You're just one hurricane away from applying for FEMA loans to pay for a new home.
