Spammer in the Can
by Michael
Another spammer has been arrested. But I haven't seen any reduction in the amount of spam I get. In fact, I had to disable my "Catch Phrase" submission form because some moron thought they could use it to get their stupid links on my site.
What I can't figure out is why they decided that this particular form was going to do them any good? I don't post submissions to the list unless the submission meets specific criteria that I set. So if some idiot sends me a ton of submissions that are just a bunch of links, I'm just going to delete that submissions and forget about them. In other words, they just wasted my time and their own filling out a form to submit something that will never see the light of day on my site.
Nevertheless, I had to disable the form since I started getting 20 of these a day, and the trend that was emerging indicated that it was just going to get worst. So the form is gone, the script which managed the form is not there anymore. So you can try to submit your crap all you want. It's not going to bother me any more.
