Here's an interesting article about courting the votes of unmarried women. The big revelation is that there are as many single women as there are married, but spending time and resources trying to court these women as a block may be a big waste. These women are not like soccer moms who had specific concerns and agendas. Their differences are too diverse to lump them into one group.

Anyone who maintains that the local housing market is still booming is either delusional or a real estate agent (probably both). Home sales in the Bay Area were down 36 percent in October compared to last year. What doesn't make sense is that the median price in the area still rose 2.4 percent compared to last year. If sales are down, and foreclosures are up, how does the median price defy market forces?

Yahoo refuses to admit any responsibility over what happened to these journalists, but they still settled out of court. Their excuse that they were simply complying with Chinese law sounds a little too much like "we were just following orders" to me. I know it's a slippery slope once you expand into international markets, but there has to be a point where your morals out-weigh the bottom line.

I was the primary parent this weekend because Leslie was engaged in some important Buddhist teachings. This means I got to keep up with 16-month-old, clean the house, grocery shop, cook and conduct some business over the course of two days. Needless to say, I need a weekend to recover from my weekend.
