A state appeals court has put a halt to the practice of canceling the health insurance of ill policyholders on the basis of "pre-existing" conditions. So if you have some form of lung disease, the insurance companies can't deny you coverage because you had a cold twelve years ago.

The Spears legacy just keeps on rolling on. Jamie Lynn, Britney's 16-year-old sister, is three months pregnant. No word yet on what consequences the presumed father might face. But it can't be too bad. Look how well things are going for the father of her nephews.

Why does a state with a population that is less than the city of Los Angeles wield so much influence in determining who the presidential candidates will be? It's absurd. No wonder so many states are trying to move their primaries up. Some states (Michigan and Florida) are even risking severe penalties for moving their primaries before New Hampshire's. After all, why should Iowa and New Hamshire get all the fun?
