The Dem Nominee is Obama! No, it’s Hillary! No, it’s …
by Michael
Obama won in Iowa and was practically declared the nominee, and Clinton's prospects were bleak. Now Hillary wins in New Hampshire and becomes every pundits favorite. Why can't these media morons just shut up until Super (now dubbed Tsunami) Tuesday is over?
15% percent of Iowa's meager (compared to California's) population participated in the caucuses, yet the idiot talking heads declared Obama the HEAVY favorite going into New Hampshire. The NH poll numbers seemed to back them on that. But let's face it; declaring any of the top three candidates in trouble after Iowa was stupid. Depending on polls is even dumber. More and more, polls are less reliable as predictors for election results. I don't think people are truly honest with poll takers. Why should they be? It's no one's business how you intend to vote.
With Hillary's unexpected victory in NH, they're all falling over themselves trying to backtrack on their dire predictions of her demise. I guess they'll start pouncing on Edwards as the next to fall aside.
Considering how poorly Edwards responded to Clinton's emotional statements Monday, he probably deserves third place. I like Edwards. I think he would have won in 2004 if he had been able to stop Kerry. But his callous attitude was mean and petty. If he wants to blame anyone for his campaign's demise, he need only look in the mirror.
