Was it a Mistake?

Much has been made of the flub by Chief Justice Roberts during Obama's swearing in yesterday. They've even gone so far as to re-do the oath "just to be safe". My question is: Was it really a mistake?
At least that's what my question would be if I were really paranoid. After all, it's certainly what the right-wing pundits would be saying if the chief justice were a staunch liberal swearing in a conservative president and he flubbed a line or two. So why can't Roberts be part of some right-wing conspiracy to try and sabotage or invalidate Obama's presidency?
