A government sponsored study revealed that only 1% of websites indexed by Google and Microsoft are pornographic. If that's the case, then why is 90% of my spam pornographic?

ABC's "Primetime Live" had footage of child abuse that occurred in 2002. Had they reported the incedent then, this girl would have been saved from further abuse. But ABC was more concerned with getting their story. Now the authorities can't do anything, and the victim will probably end up abusing her children since no one did anything to break the cycle of violence.

Jeeves was given the ax yesterday. He was the last of the dotcom boom mascots. Ask.com (formerly askjeeves.com) has decided to forgo whimsy in favor of a more serious search tool that is set to take on the big boys of search (Google, Yahoo, MSN).

Ask Jeeves is getting rid of the butler and changing its name to simply "Ask.com". So their strategy is to lose the whimsy and become just like every other Google wannabe search engine. This is just a bone-headed decision. You just don't 86 good branding. You just don't.

This article about Applied Minds on Wired News prompted me to click on the link to their web site. What a waste of time. As a web designer, I pride myself on not producing work that lacks substance. If you dont' have any content, why waste money and resources to put together a web site that says absolutely nothing?

I've extended the new design to inlude the blog archives, and the about, links and contact pages. I also implemented the search function from the Movabletype tool that I use to publish this blog. All that remains is the design and art section of the site.
