Last night, tragedy struck as we ran out of candy shortly before 8. We were as devastated as the dissapointed ghosts and ghouls who bore witness to the emergence of the bottom of the candy bowl.

I'm finally employed full time. My new employer is in Palo Alto, which means a 40-mile commute to and from work. Since we only had one car, we had to look into getting a second vehicle.

There's big news today about Symantec acquiring Veritas which causes me to heave a huge sigh of relief. I had two interviews with Veritas after Booz Allen laid me off. They decided to pass. Now it looks like they may be facing some painful changes themselves in the near future.
