The California State Supreme Court has struck down the voter approved ban on same-sex marriages. In thirty days gay couples will be able to legally marry in California. I imaging the right wing-nuts are already up in arms.

It is indeed over for Hillary. She can't win enough delegates in the remaining primaries to cinch the nomination. That means back-room deals with super-delegates at the convention. Not a good situation. She should just concede and hand her delegates over to Obama and then use her clout to structure the party platform.

If Barack Obama wins the Dem nomination, it'll be because the youth vote came out in force to support him. If John McCain wins the general election, it'll be because that same youth vote is too flaky to be relied on. The McCain supporters already know this. That's why they're already set to "Swift-boat" both candidates.

San Francisco spent nearly three quarters of a million dollars to host the Olympic torch last week. That's quite a contribution to the Chinese propaganda effort. Good job Mayor Newsom!

The Simpering Simian ordered the EPA to raise ozone limits in an unprecedented move of political intervention. The move is an obvious attempt to help the energy and manufacturing sector of big business. Good for those guys, but does this mean that the lame duck has condemned himself to eternal damnation?

This is pretty ironic considering how much the Simpering Simian's cronies disparaged the man's war record in the past. On the bright side, when McCain's seedier supporters decide to swiftboat the eventual Democratic candidate with specious rumors and inuendo, the Dems have some good ammo to fight back with. I guess Karl Rove was good for something after all.

All evidence to the contrary, the Simpering Simian insists that the US economy is not in a recession. He is so out of the loop, he doesn't even know about gas prices approaching four dollars a gallon! Makes me wonder whether he knows how to play the fiddle.

I am always astounded at how much people in California complain about the poor quality of our schools, bad roads, lack of service from state agencies, state park closures, etc. Yet, ask those same people if they were willing to contribute an additional ONE percent of their income to help improve those things, they practically scream "NO!!!". The result of freezing revenue is more cuts to services.

Edwards and Giuliani have called it quits. Edwards just didn't have enough support or money to draw enough votes. He also decided to withhold his endorsement lest he pick the wrong candidate. Rudy has no such worries and endorses the front-running McCain.

Obama won in Iowa and was practically declared the nominee, and Clinton's prospects were bleak. Now Hillary wins in New Hampshire and becomes every pundits favorite. Why can't these media morons just shut up until Super (now dubbed Tsunami) Tuesday is over?
