Big Ben took his bike up against a car and lost. His injuries are far less severe than they could be so not only is he lucky to be alive, he may not miss a beat on the field. This was a close call but you have to wonder if the wunderkind QB actually learned anything.

This year's men's NCAA tournament had to be the most unpredictable ever. This is the first time since 1980, no number one seed made it to the final four. George Mason is the first 11th seed to make it since 1986. None of the final four teams were expected to be there. Now you know why I don't bet on sports.

OK, this is getting ridiculous. I haven't read the book but from everything I've heard, all the evidence backing these allegations are nothing more than hearsay. It's possible and perhaps even likely that Barry did use something, but he's never tested positive. Yet some of these guys are taking it for granted that he did cheat.

Michelle Kwan's gold medal dreams are appearantly over. She'll be nearly thirty when the next winter games comes along, so it's highly unlikely that she'll compete in the Olympics ever again. It's too bad her last bid had to end this way but she probably didn't belong there to begin with.

I couldn't agree more with this column, especially the item about Jake Plummer. Vinny Cerrato and Dwight Clark destroyed the team before they left. Passing on Plummer to take Jim "Drunkenmiller", was one of the biggest blunders they pulled.

I was surprised when the Eagles announced the indefinite suspension of Terrell Owens. I expected them to take some disciplinary action but a long-term suspension seemed unlikely considering his salary and his play-making ability. Now the Eagles have gone further and announced that Owens will not play for the rest of the season.

Let's say you're a football player who makes his living catching passes. That means that your livelyhood is dependent upon the guy who passes the ball. The better your relationship with this guy, the more passes you get. And yet, Terrell Owens still bad-mouths his all-pro quarterback because he's not happy with his contract.

There are so many things wrong about the White Sox winning the World Series. It must be especially galling to Cubs fans who have to "be happy" for south-side team while their own team's misfortunes continue.
