2002 Regional Science Bowl T-Shirt
During my tenure with Booz Allen Hamilton, I was asked by our client to design a t-shirt for the 2002 Regional Science Bowl. The event brings together teams from high schools throughout the region together to compete against each other and determine which team will represent the region during the finals in Washington DC. All the students, coaches and volunteers were given a shirt to commemorate their participation in the event.

Design of the T-Shirt
The main element of this design is the model of the molecular structure of silicon which seemed appropriate for the Bay Area region. In keeping with the "Dive into Science" theme, some physics equations, astronomical formations, helixes and even a still undiscovered Easter Egg message disguised as a digital string, were placed to appear as though they were speeding toward an unexplored void.
My color choices were limited to two colors plus the white of the t-shirt fabric. I was also allowed to incorporate tints of my two color choices to create gradients that helped render a three dimensional effect for the molecule model.
The finished shirt also included the "Dive into Science" title and the event information as well as logos of event sponsors. The front of the t-shirt featured the same text and a smaller molecule model but none of the other graphics.
