  • Design of the Webcast

The focus of the webcast design is the current slide. The chrome and UI elements were designed to enhace the sense that the webcast is an actual interactive tool, not just a web page. UI feedback is provided by a subtle tone shift when the pointer is moused over the buttons.

  • Development of the Webcast

The Denali webcast was designed and developed in Flash. The controls, slide transitions and import of slides and audio are accomplished with ActionScript 2.0. The slides are listed in an XML file that also contains the time signatures that determine when each slide should be displayed.
