Platzner & Co.

Platzner & Co. wanted a new design for their site that incorporated elements of the Art Deco movement. The design I provided was well received, but the client ultimately chose to go in another direction.
Design of Platzner & Co.

Creating an Art Deco design began with the existing wordmark logo that was created using the Nickerbocker type-face. I placed the wordmark in a beveled oval with a gradient shine that lends the logo more emphasis on the page.

A floral pattern background served as the base of the page. Other deco touches include the sun flares in the header section, the widgets for the horizontal and vertical rules and the custom bullets for the list items. Nickerbocker was used as the type-face for headers to reinforce the branding.
